Ferrari Marks 30 Years in the Middle East with Six Bespoke 296 GTBs

Ferrari has commemorated its 30th anniversary in the Middle East by unveiling six exquisitely customized Ferrari 296 GTBs, each representing one of the Gulf Nations: the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman. These exclusive vehicles, crafted by Ferrari's Special Equipment team in collaboration with the Colour & Trim department, were revealed during the prestigious Casa Ferrari event in Abu Dhabi, held alongside the Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend.

A Celebration of Gulf Heritage

The bespoke 296 GTBs pay homage to the unique cultures and landscapes of the Gulf countries, with each car featuring a distinctive livery and color palette. Highlights include:

  • UAE: A pearlescent white finish inspired by the nation's pearl diving heritage.

  • Saudi Arabia: A vibrant green symbolizing the lush oases that bring life to the desert.

  • Kuwait: A metallic brown evoking warmth and the elegance of natural landscapes.

  • Qatar: A deep maroon shade reflecting strength and pride.

  • Bahrain: Metallic black flecked with gold, reminiscent of starlit desert nights.

  • Oman: A rich blue that mirrors the serenity of the country's coastline and seas.

Each car features the groundbreaking "Arabian Golden Sheen," a matte metallic finish representing sunlight on desert sands. This distinctive shade adorns elements like the roof, rims, spoiler, and even Arabic calligraphy depicting the name of each nation on the engine cover.

Exclusive Interior Design

The interiors of these six masterpieces showcase Ferrari's commitment to innovation and craftsmanship. Beige Honolulu leather is paired with Gold Metallic leather to create a sporty yet elegant aesthetic. Highlights include:

  • Diamond-stitched seats with translucent Gold Metallic leather accents.

  • Upholstered leather in the front luggage compartment, a first for this model.

  • Prancing Horse logos on the headrests embroidered in glossy gold thread for a striking metallic effect.

  • A Satin Gold-plated H-shaped gearshift gate, adding a final touch of exclusivity.

Giorgio Turri, General Manager of Ferrari Middle East, emphasized the importance of the milestone, saying:

“As we celebrate three decades in the Middle East, these six one-of-a-kind 296 GTBs are a testament to our deep connections and shared passion with this region. They represent the unique spirit and personality of each Gulf nation, strengthening our bond with the local community and celebrating our shared values of excellence and innovation.”

The Maranello Clutches

In addition to the six bespoke cars, Ferrari unveiled six one-of-a-kind Maranello clutches, inspired by the designs of the 296 GTBs. Crafted using the same artisanal methods and techniques as the cars, these minaudières feature:

  • Lacquered finishes matching the Sheen shades of each country.

  • Ultra-suede lining, a removable strap, and Ferrari's iconic logo engraved on a plaque.

  • A sleek silhouette mirroring Ferrari's automotive design language.

Casa Ferrari: A Celebration of Luxury and Heritage

The unveiling took place at Casa Ferrari, a temporary luxury villa set up in Abu Dhabi during the F1 Grand Prix weekend. This annual event provides a home away from home for Ferrari enthusiasts in the Middle East, offering an immersive experience of the brand’s legacy, craftsmanship, and dedication to excellence.

Looking Ahead

As Ferrari embarks on its fourth decade in the Middle East, the brand envisions a future filled with growth and innovation. Giorgio Turri added:

“The Gulf nations and Ferrari share a passion for technological advancement and creative innovation. We are excited to continue this journey of mutual prosperity and success in a region that celebrates ambition and excellence.”

Through these six extraordinary vehicles and their accompanying clutches, Ferrari not only celebrates 30 years of presence in the Middle East but also reaffirms its commitment to creating unique experiences that resonate deeply with its Gulf clientele
