The difference between natural and organic skincare products

In the beauty industry, the term "natural" is being used in a misleading way by many manufactures of skin care and cosmetic products. There are no regulations describing a beauty product as “natural” or strict laws to regulate the types and concentrations of ingredients used of natural ingredients in the products. Even if the product contains 1% of natural ingredients they call the final product “natural” for marketing purposes. Natural agricultural ingredients are not required to be free from pesticides, genetically modified ingredients “GMO”, many controversial chemicals such as parabens, synthetic colouring, silicones and synthetic perfumes are allowed to be used. Not required for the products to be cruelty free or the packaging to be environmentally friendly.

While In certified organic products, natural ingredients should be at least 95% of the final products. Certified organic skin and hair care products are not permitted to use agricultural ingredients that have been treated with pesticides or contain genetically modified organisms.

More than 1500 chemical compounds such as parabens, silicon, various sulphate salts, petroleum derivatives, synthetic fragrances and many preservatives that are used to preserve products for long periods are not allowed to be used. There is also a follow-up and audit by the organic certifier entity for each component separately and its profile history, starting from planting, methods of extraction, storage and shipping until it reaches the factory.

The manufacturing and packaging process are also subjected to several requirements, and the packaging must be environmentally friendly. The final product is subjected to quality control and inspection visits to the factory, sales outlet and storage warehouses to ensure the degree of humidity, temperature and all storage conditions until it reaches the end user.

And because we understand at Ixora the solid connection between what we use on a daily basis on our skin and its impact on our health, we decided to offer nothing but the best for both consumers and our environment and reached the COSMOS organic Certification standards. The highest level of Organic Certification In the world.
