DUBAI SUPERMODEL ELVIRA JAIN SHARES 11 TIPS ON HOW TO STYLE YOUR OUTFITS THIS SUMMER -These Tips Will Never Go Out Of Style-
Summer is probably the most loved season of the year from long days on the beach, weekend gathering by the pool to the warm breezy wind, it definitely energizes your soul. Summer is also a season of being stylish and experimental with your outfits - popping colors, patterns and silhouettes that match the season.
Here, Dubai-based supermodel Elvira Jain shares some tips on how to keep stylish and trendy during the Summer season, some do’s and don’ts to make your summer 2021 a memorable one!
LIGHT VS. DARK
Not only will lighter colors keep you cooler (black absorbs more heat), but they also have a better summer vibe. I mean you could wear dark colors such as black, charcoal, violet, or dark blue, but it doesn’t have that light airy feel that is synonymous with summer. LOOK LIKE A NATURAL WOMAN
If you ask me, nothing is worse than wearing a ton of makeup on a hot summer day. Light and natural makeup is the way to go during the summer season. Put away the heavy black eyeliner, dark shadows, heavy foundation, and dark lipstick. Instead wear pretty neutral eyeshadows, tinted moisturizers and nude, pink, or rose stains and tinted balms.
GO WITH THE FLOW
The summer calls for light fabrics that float in the wind. To give off the summer lovin’ vibe, opt for flowy clothing instead of anything that is skin tight. Find clothing made in light cotton, silk, chiffon, lace or crochet. This applies to everything: dresses, skirts, tops, rompers, and even shorts. TAKE IT OFF-SHOULDER
Every couple of years off-the-shoulder clothing becomes popular. All the stores have them in stock and everyone is wearing them. But off-the-shoulder tops and dresses are stylish every summer. Don’t think of them as trendy or disposable, because they really are a fashion staple that you can wear every year.
TRY TO BE NEUTRAL
If you’re only going to invest in one handbag for summer go with a neutral earth-tone brown. Look for a summer handbag that is not that structured and that you’ll want to wear over many summers. SHADE IT OFF
Looking for the perfect pair of summer sunnies but don’t want to buy something that will go out of style by the time the New Year holiday comes around? If your face shape allows it, buy a pair of aviators.
HATS-ON
Everyone should own a hat! If you don’t own one it’s probably because you haven’t found the perfect one for you! They not only make a stylish summer statement but they also protect your face from the harmful sun rays.
LET YOUR HAIR UP
Beach waves are sexy and stylish but if you don’t have the time or can’t get your hair to have that perfect beach curl, then braid it or wear it in a bun. I wear my hair in a braid, ponytail, or bun throughout summer, and the summer outfit that I choose will determine which of three hairstyles I’ll wear. (Since my hair is on the mid-longer side it’s usually too hot to wear it down.)
LET IT SHINE
Do not be afraid to wear a shiny sparkly outfit this summer. Trust me, it’s the season’s best surprise. Get a light see-through shiny sparkly kaftan and paired it with your perfect swimwear inside. Easy yet elegant at the same time.
EARTH STONES
Put away your large statement jewelry in dark or jewel tones, summer fashion calls for jewelry in earth tones. Look for bracelets, necklaces, and earrings in blues, gold, turquoise, pink, brown, green or even brightly patterned cotton bracelets. PATTERN IT AROUND
A floral or animal printed shirt is the perfect summer piece. Its vibrant and enigmatic style makes it easy to style in a variety of summer outfits.
If you only own one patterned shirt, opt for the classic floral design or animal print - whether you get a floral pants or a leopard swimwear, and paired it with a classic white shirt, then voila you got the look!
